Peter Krahenbuhl started at SimonCRE in 2015 as a Project Manager and is now Vice President of Development. He oversees all new development and redevelopment entitlements at SimonCRE. He works closely with the CEO to track project timelines, obtain municipal entitlements, oversee design & planning submittals while ensuring adherence to project budgets. He plays a vital role in the daily planning and development associated with successfully driving multiple projects from inception to completion. In addition to completing more than 150 build to suit projects and counting, he has played a significant role in some of SimonCRE’s major projects including Park Northern in Phoenix, AZ (±127,280 SF), Simon Medical Center in Laveen, AZ (±32,008 SF), and a portion of the Village at Prasada in Surprise, AZ (100+ acres).
During college, Peter worked for five years at the prestigious Forest Highlands Golf Club as a Safety Representative responsible for the safety and security of members, guests, and assets within the gated community. After graduating, Peter moved to Scottsdale to begin work for Toronto-based condominium conversion and multifamily investment company, Belleview Communities. At Belleview for six years, Peter was responsible for the sales, marketing, construction implementation, and strategic planning of seven multifamily condominium developments in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Flagstaff, totaling more than $100 million in sales revenue. In 2012, Peter became a Commercial Tenant Advisor for Avocat Group, a boutique tenant representation firm specializing in office, medical, dental, and law firm clients’ commercial real estate needs. He was responsible for facilities acquisitions, site selection, space planning, lease/purchase negotiations, and comparative building analysis for more than 50 clients throughout the U.S.
Originally from Princeton, NJ, Peter moved in to Arizona to attend Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. He majored in Business Management with a minor in Finance. Peter is a founding Suns Charities 88 member and volunteers his time with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona and Valley Leadership. Peter’s hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, camping, traveling, and spending time with his wife Sarah, son Bodhi and daughter Jemma.
