Alex Pitrofsky joined SimonCRE in 2020 as a Development Associate and was soon elevated to a Project Expediter, then was promoted again in 2022 to Senior Development Associate, and was recently promoted in 2023 to Project Manager. He works closely with the development team to coordinate with consultants, municipalities, and other team members to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Prior to joining SimonCRE, Alex graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Urban and Regional Development where he learned about development practices, sustainable development, and urban and regional growth. At the University of Arizona, Alex participated in the Commercial Real Estate Club where he learned about the industry of commercial real estate from industry professionals and fellow students. He was also a part of the Eller ELITE Business Club.
After his junior year of college, Alex interned at the City of Poway where he assisted the Development Services Department on project approvals, zoning requirements, and city improvements. He also interned for Penny Realty, a property management company in San Diego where he worked with the property management team and tenants.
Alex was born and raised in San Diego, California. After spending four years in Tucson, he decided he wanted to stay in Arizona and moved to Scottsdale to pursue his career in real estate development. In his spare time, Alex enjoys traveling, watching sports, playing basketball, and finding good places to eat with family and friends.
