Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

  • Scottsdale, AZ

The Commercial Real Estate Paralegal shall manage the entire real estate closing process, including compliance with real estate contracts, lender requirements, title requirements, company requirements, and other written instructions.

  • Assist in-house counsel with initial draft of purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, amendments, exhibits, loan documents, and title
  • Proofread final agreements and prepare final documentation for signatures
  • Calendar all dates of fully executed agreements
  • Review surveys for easements and impact on development
  • Review all title documents and compare to survey to determine the ability of building on sites
  • Open and manage escrows for all acquisitions and dispositions
  • Coordinate and ensure the accurate and timely execution of all documentation for closings
  • Secure and track all earnest money
  • Relay pertinent information that may impact project closings to the Development, Acquisition, and Dispositions teams in a timely manner
  • Coordinate all escrow funding and disbursements
  • Review and coordinate final title policies
  • Ensure the completion of all post close items
  • Verify the recording of documents

Travel Required- None

Required Education, Experience, Licenses

  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • Paralegal certification required
  • Minimum of seven years’ commercial real estate experience required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel as well as calendar management and general technology is required
  • Experience with Mac iOS is a plus
  • Valid Driver’s License
